Junior After School Instructor – Age 16+

📍 Located at our Snoqualmie Ridge Learning Center Quantum STEM School is hiring Junior After School Instructors for our school-age After Care program! This is a great paid opportunity for high school students and others interested in gaining experience working with children, education, STEM, or childcare. Junior After School Instructors work alongside our experienced staff to help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for elementary-age students.

Pay: $18.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM–6:30 PM Friday: 2:00 PM–6:30 PM You do not need to be available every day. We are happy to work with school and extracurricular schedules.

Responsibilities

Assist staff with supervising elementary-age students Participate in games, STEM activities, crafts, and outdoor play Help students during snack and activity transitions Engage and interact positively with children Help with classroom setup, organization, and cleanup Follow directions and work alongside lead staff Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old Enjoy working with children Responsible, dependable, and able to arrive on time Comfortable engaging and playing with elementary-age students Able to follow directions and work as part of a team Must complete all applicable Washington State/DCYF requirements for working in a licensed childcare program No previous childcare experience is required.

Training and support are provided. This is a great opportunity to build work experience, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience working with children in an educational setting. Salary $18 - $20 per hour
