• Dania Furniture is looking for a Warehouse Lead Delivery Driver! Location: 2655 S. Broadway Ave Boise ID Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week), Non-Exempt Position Pay: $24 / hr! CDL Class "C" preferred but not required. We pay for the DOT Med Card! NOTE: All applicants must satisfactorily complete our pre-employment drug screen, physical (Obtain DOT Medical Card), background, and motor vehicle record check. What You'll Be Doing Provide oversight and mentoring functions for drivers by performing all the duties as requested. Help to demonstrate safety and compliance rules by clear demonstrations of following company policy. Available to answer driver questions if the transportation team is not available. Will approach the driver for hands-on training if requested or if recognized. Contact Manager of fleet operations if any concerns arise concerning another driver. Perform a drive test for other drivers. Should be available to answer after hour calls when needed. Have a strong understanding of compliance and DOT rules and regulations. Lead Drivers serve as a substitute driver as needed and observe safe lifting methods. Follow all company safety and accident procedures on premises or operating company vehicles or equipment. Provide friendly service with clients and support the warehouse team if need. Additional duties, as assigned.

Who You Are

and Must Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills with basic math, computer and POS skills. Able to lift 75+ lbs., unassisted, moving furniture in showroom, warehouse and on deliveries when necessary. Capable of successfully completing our pre-employment background, physical and drug screening.

A wholehearted customer service approach with a professional and welcoming presentation. Have a valid state issued driver’s license. CDL preferred but not required. Employment in this role is dependent on maintaining all DOT and driving certifications if applicable to the location. Minimum 2 years of safe driving. Preferred 5+ years driving experience Submit to the following prior to employment: Pre-employment drug screening Physical screening and obtain and DOT Medical Card Background check and Motor vehicle record check Be subject to random and post-accident drug screening Working Conditions Read and understand assemblies, instructions, shipping and receiving paperwork.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, label printers, adding machines, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regular standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping. Exposure to external weather, heat and cold. Exposure to Noise and moving machinery. Some office setting using standard office equipment, seated at computer, keyboard monitor and phone.

Working hours will include weekends and holidays and will require flexibility. Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations. Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check Education High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2+ years’ work experience in driving is a plus.
