Machine Tool Operator

Description Knowledge of drawings and products is required. May be required to set up. grind tools and operate a variety of machines such as lathes, milling machines, broaches, drill presses, threading machines, band saws, grinders, keyseaters, manual shaft straighteners, hydraulic shaft straighteners, CNC machines, etc.

This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Must work to specified tolerances with use of precision tools, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, protractors, fixed gauges, etc. May be required to lubricate machines Finishing or polishing shafts Includes incidental machining work such as drill tap, keyway and centering on all size shafting May be required to turn shafts when diameter must be reduced
