Job description
Seeking a candidate to streamline administrative, analytical, and reporting workflows for Army Materiel Command. Key Responsibilities
- Assess workflows, document baseline processing times, and recommend improvements with projected efficiency gains, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and maintain development logs covering design, testing, revisions, feedback, and prototype status.
- Build functional prototypes, templates, data-tracking tools, and automated workflows using Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, VBA, and macros.
- Consolidate and validate data; create executive-ready reports and dashboards that highlight key metrics, trends, risks, decisions, and recommended actions.
- Deliver simple, user-friendly interfaces compatible with approved Army IT environments, Microsoft 365, and standard web browsers-without unauthorized third-party software.
- Test functionality, accuracy, and usability; resolve validated issues; provide user guides, application support, and training for approximately four users.
- Manage approximately 12 concurrent monthly reporting requirements (144 reports annually) and measure progress toward a potential aggregate 20% reduction in targeted processing time over 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and an active Secret security clearance that must be maintained.
- Experience in process improvement, requirements documentation, data analysis, visualization, executive reporting, and automation development.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power Platform; experience with SharePoint and Teams; demonstrated proficiency in Python, VBA, macros, or comparable approved scripting technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum, with experience using Jira and Confluence or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication, user-training, and documentation skills; ability to design tools for nontechnical users and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Conditions of Employment
Must obtain and maintain access to applicable government systems and facilities and comply with security, privacy, records-management, information-assurance, and technology-governance requirements.
Location
