Chassis & Reefer Technician Instructor

Lincoln Tech's Workforce. Linc is seeking experienced Chassis & Reefer Technicians to be Intermodal Technical Instructor to deliver hands-on training across the full range of intermodal equipment. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded technician with experience in chassis, containers, reefers, gensets, welding, fabrication, electrical systems, diagnostics, and structural container repair.

This is a traveling instructor position supporting training at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

Intermodal chassis inspection, maintenance, brakes, ABS, wheel ends, suspension, air systems, electrical, and repair Dry and refrigerated containers including inspection, maintenance, structural repair, doors, floors, panels, rails, and crossmembers Reefer systems including refrigeration, electrical controls, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance Gensets including diesel, electrical, charging, cooling, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair Welding and fabrication including MIG welding, cutting, fit-up, structural repair, and container/chassis applications Teach systematic troubleshooting, inspection, preventive maintenance, and safe repair practices.

Develop technicians through practical demonstrations and real-world equipment scenarios. Maintain training equipment and assist with curriculum development. Travel up to 75% Qualifications 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience preferred. Broad experience with intermodal chassis, containers, reefers, gensets, welding/fabrication, or related equipment.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills. Container/chassis inspection and structural repair experience preferred. Welding, refrigeration, diesel, electrical, or other applicable industry certifications are a plus. Training experience preferred, but experienced field technicians with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Ability and willingness to travel is required.
