Formaggio Kitchen is a unique gourmet food shop in Cambridge. For more over 40 years, we have hand-selected the finest artisan products from Europe and North America, including small production cheeses, charcuterie, handmade sweets, rare spices, pantry staples, natural wines, craft beers, and freshly baked breads from local bakeries.

Our Front of House team of cashiers provides knowledgeable and efficient service to our customers, every day! As a Formaggio Kitchen cashier, you will be required to: Give exemplary customer service to our discerning customers Handle money and take payments through our POS with accuracy Help to keep the floor and cold cases stocked with products for purchase In a Supervisory role, you would be required to: Open the shop in the morning and/or close the shop at night Handle customer complaints, returns, requests Recognize what needs to be done/stocked in each part of the store.

Compile a list of tasks and delegate Understand and enforce store policies Be able to react calmly in emergency situations We have both part-time and full-time positions available, with a preference for weekend and closing availability. Applicants must be friendly and hard-working.

Requirements

Ability to stand for a full shift Occasional bending, twisting, reaching and crouching Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds, occasionally 20 Ability to walk up and down stairs to storage areas Supervisory Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of retail or restaurant experience Extensive food knowledge and a thirst for learning Compensation: These positions are hourly, $17-$21/hour, commensurate with experience Formaggio Kitchen is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
