Online Adjunct Faculty: Curriculum Design and Assessment (SPE 530)

• Longmeadow, MA, Position Type: Adjunct Faculty, Salary Range: $500.00 - $1200.00Salary, Bay Path University is seeking a part-time online adjunct instructor for the follow course: SPE-530 EN-OS-16-1X (3 credits) Curriculum Design and Assessment Using a case study approach, students learn to select, construct, use and interpret non-discriminatory and developmentally appropriate assessments relevant to diverse learners with mild and moderate disabilities. The Massachusetts Frameworks are used to guide decisions in both curriculum and instruction and ways to prepare and maintain students in general education. Course assignments are designed to help students gain an understanding of educational terminology utilized with students with special needs; and differentiated instruction and ways to implement meaningful instruction for all students, especially students with disabilities by designing and modifying curriculum and instructional materials. Other Position and Course Details: Type of class: Synchronous Online Class level: Undergraduate Date class is scheduled to begin: January 11, 2027 Class schedule: Pathways to Teaching courses meet one evening per week via Zoom Compensation: $500 - $1,200 per credit. Adjunct faculty pay rates vary, depending on academic discipline and the course's credit load and level.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher. Teaching experience at the elementary levels and/or special education is required. Early Childhood Pk-2, and/or Elementary 1-6, Massachusetts Teaching Licenses, Initial or higher, is required. Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
