Evening Cook/Chef for Skilled Nursing Facility Valley View Manor for Nursing & Rehabilitation is looking to hire a part time Cook/Chef for our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Norwich, NY. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking and food in general. This is an amazing opportunity to serve our wonderful residents and to grow in your career.

DUTIES:

• Ability to multi-task
• Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods
• Baking a variety of pastries
• Ability to manage kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Manager
• Able to work & manage tray-line during meal service
• Hand washing and sanitizing of pot and pans
• Ensuring that items in Fridge, Freezer & Stock-Room are clean & orderly
• General cleaning up of the kitchen
• Other duties as assigned by Food Service Manager REQUIREMENTS :
• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep
• Excellent customer service & communication skills
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Must be able to tolerate some physical work
• Should have experience in large-scale cooking setting
• Certification in healthcare cooking (i.e. Serv-Safe or Sodexo) is a Plus BENEFITS:
