HVAC Estimation Engineer

Work location Hyderabad Key Responsibilities

• Study HVAC drawings and specifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Estimate costs for equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, accessories, and installation.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations.
• Conduct rate analysis and material/labor costing.
• Assist with techno-commercial proposals and tenders.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, design, and project teams.
• Identify scope gaps and ensure timely, accurate competitive estimates.
• Maintain records, databases, and vendor quotations.
• Support value engineering and revise estimates as project requirements change. Required Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HVAC estimation.
• Knowledge of ducting, chilled water piping, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD and HVAC estimation software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in HVAC tendering and commercial estimation.
• Knowledge of HVAC materials, equipment specifications, and market pricing.
• Understanding of quantity surveying, rate analysis, and cost control.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
