• RN, CNA Instructor Part Time Opportunity: 10-16 hours per week Hours may vary based on class schedule RN, CNA Instructor Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to develop and maintain a CNA training program that conforms with WI DHS and Federal regulations, preparing CNA students for providing high-quality and compassionate resident care and services. The successful candidate will evaluate, develop, and teach CNA coursework and oversee CNA clinicals, preparing CNA trainees for the state exams. Instructor will utilize online and in-person training, competency reviews, and exams. What You’ll Do Develop and submit CNA training program for approval Collaborate with supervisors and students regarding student requirements, class and clinical enrollment and attendance, and performance. Administratively and clinically supervise CNA students in their training and clinicals Prepare students to pass state CNA exams and provide high-quality, compassionate resident care according to state and federal regulations What You’ll Need Current, active, and unrestricted license as a registered nurse authorized to practice in Wisconsin. At least two years of work experience as a registered nurse, including at least one year of RN experience providing care in a nursing home that meets the applicable requirements of sections 1919(a), (b), (c), and (d) of the Social Security Act. Documented education and clinical experience meeting clients’ psychosocial, behavioral, cognitive, and physical needs, supported by a current résumé suitable for the program’s approval file and DHS application materials. Successful completion of a DHS-approved primary-instructor training course, or receipt of a DHS waiver based on a substantially equivalent course, training, or clinical experience. Knowledge of Wisconsin Administrative Code ch. DHS 129, applicable federal nurse aide training requirements, resident rights, infection prevention, safe-patient-handling practices, and standards of nursing practice. Ability to meet and maintain all DHS approval requirements for a primary instructor Ability to use electronic records, presentation software, learning systems, email, and standard office technology. Successful completion of organizational pre-employment and ongoing requirements applicable to the role, which may include background and registry checks, health screening, immunization or testing requirements, and required safety training.
