  • Lancaster, Hanover, Gettysburg, MD, DE, South NJ, Virginia) Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all budget goals for your territory. (New Business -$320,000 in new annual sales business with at least $80,000 in gross margin growth annually.)
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a new business prospecting plan including targeted lead generation, cold call prospecting, and weekly RFP generation. Responsible for communicating and coordinating the new business prospecting plan with your regional sales manager.
  • Manage current account base to maintain accounts and gross margins for each account. Effectively communicate PVS Minibulk policies and changes with all customers. Meet with current accounts in an organized manner as determined in consultation with your regional sales manager.
  • Have a complete understanding of PVS Minibulks’ features, advantages, and benefits.
  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of PVS Minibulk in your territory.
  • Understand the delivery, tank, trailer, and hose capabilities, limitations, and requirements in your territory.
  • Develop the ability to accurately and completely prepare PVS Minibulk sales forms. Follow NACD processes and procedures properly.
  • Maintain current and accurate customer and sales form files. Regularly input market and customer data into customer management records.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required. Develop and maintain consistent communication with your regional sales manager.
  • Maintain communication with Customer Service Representatives (CSR), Dispatch, Operations, and the Credit Department to stay aligned on customer requirements, service needs, operational capabilities, credit considerations, and PVS goals.
  • Maintain and protect PVS Minibulk property. Key Performance Indicators
  • Plan for approximately 3.5-4 days per week of direct customer-facing field activity, including customer visits, site assessments, presentations, and prospecting. Use the remaining 1-1.5 days for planning, quotes, CRM updates, and internal coordination.
  • Schedule field activity proactively and record each visit’s purpose, outcome, and follow-up actions in CRM. Complete meaningful customer interactions daily across visits, calls, and other direct outreach.
  • Each interaction should advance a sale, address a customer need, or develop an actionable opportunity.
  • Document customer interactions in CRM within 24 hours.
  • Dedicate 50%-75% of sales time to new business development, including new customer acquisition, expanded product sales within existing accounts, and new applications or technical solutions.
  • Develop new accounts annually that meet company profitability and volume criteria and align with regional strategy. Maintain a documented opportunity pipeline with clear next steps, and plan prospecting activities weekly.
  • Review revenue growth, tonnage growth, and gross margin performance with the Sales Manager monthly, quarterly, and annually using standardized dashboards.
  • Use approved customer engagement resources purposefully and track activity in relation to account growth, retention, and opportunity progress.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. or B.A. or equal experience preferred, but not required
  • Three to five years’ experience in technical sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office/E-mail programs.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
