Cladding Estimator About the Opportunity An established construction and building envelope organization is seeking a Cladding Estimator to join its team in Surrey, British Columbia. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys preparing accurate, competitive project estimates and collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review project drawings, specifications, and related documentation to determine project scope and requirements. Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations using architectural and engineering drawings. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for cladding and façade-related projects. Submit bids and monitor project proposals to ensure deadlines are met.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and support cost negotiations. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements. Utilize estimating and documentation software, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications.

Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing records, and bid tracking systems.

Required Skills

and Qualifications Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of construction industry experience, preferably involving cladding, façade systems, or building envelope projects. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and GoNest or comparable estimating/optimization software. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience estimating cladding, façade, or building envelope systems.
