Job description

Posting Title: Neuro Surgeon Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹3.5LPM to 4LPM Work Experience: 1+ year Responsibilities: Perform complex surgical procedures including craniotomy, spinal surgery, brain tumor resection, and spinal tumor surgery. Conduct micro-neurosurgical and endoscopic neurosurgical interventions with high precision and minimal invasiveness.

Manage neurovascular conditions such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and cerebral vascular occlusions. Diagnose and treat hydrocephalus through shunt placement and endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV). Perform spine fixation and stabilization procedures for trauma, deformities, and degenerative conditions.

Manage acute intracranial hemorrhage, including epidural, subdural, and intraparenchymal bleeds, with timely surgical intervention. Provide pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative decision-making, and post-operative care for neurosurgical patients. Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, oncologists, and rehabilitation specialists in multidisciplinary care planning.

Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Stay current with emerging techniques, technologies, and research in neurosurgery through continuous professional development. Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and junior medical staff in clinical and surgical training.

Requirements

MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery (DNB, MS, or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate clinical experience in neurosurgery, preferably in a tertiary care hospital setting. Proven expertise in craniotomy, spinal surgery, brain tumor resection, and spinal tumor surgery.

Demonstrated proficiency in micro-neurosurgery, endoscopic neurosurgery, and neurovascular surgical techniques. Experience in hydrocephalus management, including shunt revision and ETV procedures. Hands-on experience in spine fixation, intracranial hemorrhage management, and peripheral nerve surgery. Strong understanding of neuroimaging interpretation (MRI, CT, angiography) and intra-operative monitoring.

Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis management skills under pressure. Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning. Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and relevant state medical council. Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressure clinical environment with minimal supervision.
