Joseph Campus. Acts as a liaison between the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Nursing and Medical staff.

Responsibilities include

the oversight of the instrumentation, software upgrades and hardware maintenance, as well as coordination of the section supervisors and Senior Technologists. Assist System Lab Director with investigation of new platforms and the development of new test procedures and/or modifications. Assists in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing.

Acting as the Quality Systems Manager for a specific site or area of responsibility, performs and documents QA activities as defined by Laboratory Administrative and Medical Leadership. Acting as a Laboratory liaison for educational community outreach and recruitment. Recruit for, update and monitor the Clinical Laboratory Advancement Program (CLAP).

EDUCATION

B.S. or B.A. degree in Medical Technology or related discipline required NYS Licensure required MT (ASCP) registered/eligible or equivalent EXPERIENCE Six (6) years of clinical laboratory work experience required KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Demonstrated management skills working in an integrated system Ability to create a pleasant work environment, resolve conflict, develop a team approach to problem solving Strong negotiation skills Able to work well in stressful situations Able to work safely with infectious material and/or hazardous material Customer focused WORKING CONDITIONS: ENVIRONMENT: Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment.
