Business Development Officer/ Team Lead - Support Laos Market (Thailand) - 1 HC

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Officer to join our fast-growing startup. Since 2022, we have been helping our UK-based partner in the financial services sector expand their presence in Laos and Southeast Asia. In this role, you will play a key part in driving business growth through customer engagement, upselling, market expansion, and supporting marketing projects and seminars.

Key Responsibilities

Screen, call, and evaluate potential customers (B2C & B2B) from marketing campaigns. Appraise customer profiles and market segments to create target lists. Actively seek, connect with, and nurture relationships with key clients. Lead planning efforts and drive development in the Thai market. Coordinate with internal teams to support marketing events and seminar setups.

Support cross-functional projects related to sales and marketing. Prepare regular reports on business development activities, customer feedback, and competitor insights.

Qualifications

Thai nationality / Lao nationality Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Experience 2-5 years as a Sales Officer, Business Development Officer, or similar role Fluent in Laos, English and Thai (both written and spoken) Experience in finance, investment,insurance, MLM or a related field is preferred Strong skills in communication, negotiation, sales, public speaking, and relationship management Willingness and availability to work overtime and on occasional weekends Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 May be required to work on weekends (Saturday–Sunday) occasionally for seminars or company events (with prior notice and agreement) Able to work overtime when needed
