Newport Meadows & Rehabilitation Center of Christiana, PA is seeking to hire an Assistant Cook to provide nutritious, quality meals to the residents we care for. Employs great customer service skills and is always willing to go the extra mile Possesses good time management and the ability to multi-task The responsibilities & duties: Review menus prior to preparation of food Prepare meals following planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menu Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures Inspect special diet trays to assure that correct diet is served to residents Assist in establishing service production lines to assure that meals are prepared on time Assumes responsibility for tray line and serves on tray line as necessary Interpret department policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, family members, etc.
