Registered Nurse

Position Summary:# The Registered Nurse

• Outpatient (RN) will be responsible for the care and treatment of patients in a medical office setting as directed by a physician. The RN is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and consistently practicing CMC#s core values of excellence, compassion, healing, teamwork, stewardship, innovation, and integrity.## # Qualifications:# # Education Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.## Bachelor#s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.# Experience# Minimum of two years# current experience in nursing practice required.# Experience with Electronic Medical Record System preferred.# Knowledge of nursing theory and practice required.# Licensure/Certification/Registration# Current RN licensure in the state of South Carolina is required or in accordance with the compact state regulations.### Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.# # Duties # Responsibilities:# Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.## Ensure that quality care is provided to all patients and is responsible for maintaining confidential records of vital statistics and other pertinent data.## Notify patients of diagnostic test results, ensure that clients receive appropriate follow-up care, and educate patients to assure understanding of physician#s orders effectively.### Perform duties including but not limited to rooming patients in a timely manner, recording nursing notes, vital signs, weight, etc., and coordinating care within the office team.# Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families# Work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, and department heads.# Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.# Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.### Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.# Remain calm and professional in all situations.#
