• Case Mix: Unassigned ED patients, inpatient consults, transfers, critical care (co-managed) FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 420-bed facility
• Trauma Level: Level 2
• EMR System: EPIC
• Specialty Backup Available: 24/7 subspecialty support including pulm/critical care and radiology
• Support Staff Available: Intensivist support, in-house radiologist, hospitalist team
• Reason for Coverage: Expansion of hospitalist program PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama
• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Experience: Internal Medicine residency trained
• Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing diverse patient populations; throughput efficiency focus DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient care for ED admissions, consults, and transfers
• Co-manage critical care patients with intensivists (no procedures required)
• Manage patients in clinical decision unit
• Collaborate with subspecialists and hospital support services
• Participate in throughput initiatives to reduce patient length of stay
