Maintenance Technician
Job description
Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift R&L Spring | Lake Geneva, WI R&L Spring is a family-owned manufacturer with a strong team culture and a clean, well-maintained facility. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment. Diagnose issues with motors, controls, sensors, drives, and automation systems. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Install, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Support facility and building maintenance activities, including utility systems, equipment support, preventive maintenance, and general infrastructure upkeep Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime. Maintain maintenance records and work orders. Assist with equipment installations, moves, and basic welding/fabrication projects. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (3-5 years preferred). Experience troubleshooting: PLC-controlled equipment Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Electric motors and motor controls Mechanical equipment and power transmission systems Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely work on equipment up to 480V. Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Basic computer skills and experience maintaining maintenance records.
PLC, motor, and controls experience preferred.
