• Primary Care Join Our Team! We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Medical Assistant II to join our growing Primary Care team. This position plays a vital role in supporting physicians and providers by delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining efficient clinic operations, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a primary care or family medicine setting and be comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain vital signs. Review and document patient medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments. Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, injections, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing. Administer injections and perform EKGs as ordered.

Process prescription refills and medication requests. Assist with prior authorizations and medication coverage workflows. Complete patient follow-up tasks, documentation updates, and care coordination activities. Maintain accurate records within Athena EMR. Ensure exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies are stocked, clean, and ready for patient care.

Monitor clinical inventory and report supply needs. Support a collaborative environment by assisting team members and promoting excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

Required 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience. Experience working in a Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatric setting. Experience performing EKGs. Experience administering injections. Experience processing medication refills. Experience with medication prior authorizations. Strong organizational, communication, and patient-service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a care team. Preferred Medical Assistant certification (not required). Experience in a high-volume outpatient clinic environment.
