Area Sales Manager

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join SIXT and drive the performance and growth of our stations across the assigned region. The role will be responsible for leading and developing Branch Managers and their teams, driving sales and service performance, and ensuring operational excellence across the network. With a strong focus on people, results and customer experience, the Area Sales Manager will identify opportunities to strengthen our market presence and contribute to sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

Oversee and regularly visit stations across the assigned region maintaining close contact with Branch Managers and their teams Drive the sales and service performance of the assigned region through defined KPIs and performance targets Work closely with Branch Managers to ensure smooth daily operations, and effectively manage staffing and fleet operations Monitor costs and expenses, ensuring effective cost control and adherence to company standards, policies and operational procedures Develop and implement initiatives to increase market penetration, revenue and overall branch performance through effective planning and regular communication with the teams Lead, coach and develop Branch Managers and their teams, fostering a motivated and high-performing environment Conduct regular performance reviews with Branch Managers, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement and development Requirements Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar Area Manager role, or at least 5 years of experience as a Store Manager in a large retail chain Proven experience in people management and team leadership Strong sales, negotiation and presentation skills Proven ability to deliver results and consistently achieve or exceed targets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Very good command of written and spoken English Previous experience in the car rental, mobility or retail industry will be considered an advantage A bachelor's degree will be considered an advantage Willingness and availability to travel frequently within the assigned region Benefits Work in one of the Best Employers in Greece & Europe (Best Workplace Hellas 2026, 2025, 2024 & Europe 2025, 2024) and be part of our unique culture Private health insurance for you and your family including annual health check-up Ticket Restaurant Meal Allowance – €132/month (maximum allowable amount) Pension plan Annual bonus scheme Educational support benefit for employees’ children from nursery school through High School Career growth, internal mobility & role-based training opportunities Discounts on corporate services and products Special offers at selected gyms & tuition discounts at partner educational institutions A buddy to support you with your onboarding The opportunity to work and grow within a Group that drives change Be part of an equal opportunity employer and member of the Diversity Charter Greece, committed to building and maintaining intergenerational relationships with stakeholders, fostering an inclusive workplace, and living its core values every day: Integrity, Trust, Respect, and Excellence.
