Mill Operator

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for making equipment adjustments to ensure proper specifications are met.
• Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within mill department.
• Basic troubleshooting/maintenance skills to facilitate equipment performance.
• Recording of production data and other results in the manner required.
• Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
• Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.

Qualifications

& Requirements:

• Some prior experience operating off-road equipment is preferred.
• Familiar with common hand tools (sledge hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Able to operate assigned mobile equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to learn to operate plant equipment and mobile equipment such as a front end loader.
• Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment.
• Team player, good communication skills needed with all co-workers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Additional Information:
• Shift: Rotating shift, 8 hours, 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am.

• Pay Rate/Range: $27.50/hr Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
