Role Overview Hands-on contributor focused on characterization, test execution, and lab infrastructure. ________________________________________ Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute device and PIC characterization (EO, OE, OO) at chip and wafer level.
- Set up and run high-speed measurements (bandwidth, BER, eye diagrams, etc.).
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts and measurement routines using LabVIEW and/or Python.
- Support wafer probing, optical alignment, and test setup bring-up.
- Troubleshoot and debug test setups and measurement issues.
- Analyze data and provide feedback to design and process teams.
- Support die sorting and yield data collection.
- Assist in transition from R&D to early production test flows. ________________________________________ Requirements
- Education o Bachelor’s degree or higher in EE, Physics, or related field.
- Experience o Typically 3–7 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills o Hands-on experience in photonics device testing or optical lab work. o Familiarity with high-speed measurement equipment (VNA, oscilloscope, BERT). o Basic understanding of optical communication systems.
- Programming & Tools o Working proficiency in LabVIEW (preferred) and/or Python for test automation. o Familiarity with instrument control (VISA/SCPI).
- Practical Skills o Experience with optical alignment, fiber handling, and/or wafer probing. o Ability to build, maintain, and debug lab test setups.
- Soft Skills o Detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to execute in a fast-paced environment.
