• Saturday, 6:00am-4:30pm Local position - no overnight stays! Company Service Truck: Dedicated service truck provided and based at the shop; shared with an opposite-shift technician. Pay & Benefits Up to $37.94/hr based on experience $2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS 30 days ($500), 90 days ($750), and at 6 months ($1,250) 3 weeks of PTO upon hire!! $1,200/annual tool allowance $200/annual boot allowance $1,200/annual CDL A or B Stipend Uniforms provided with laundry services included Paid OEM training Full comprehensive benefit plan, includes medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, and more voluntary elections! 401(k) with match What You’ll Do As a Tractor Technician, you'll: Diagnose and repair our fleet — primarily Freightliner trucks, plus Kenworth and Internationals Perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering, after-treatment service, charging systems, and A/C Accurately record repairs, parts use, and warranty details Follow safety and quality standards in every job Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet management Stay sharp with ongoing training in the latest diesel technology (Diamond Logic Builder, Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Bendix Acom, Wabco Toolbox, etc.) Collaborate with teammates to solve tough problems And take on other duties as assigned Day-to-day work that keeps you challenged and engaged. Talent Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent in education Two years’ experience in Fleet Maintenance, or Technical School Degree Previous experience with the repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of Class 8 equipment not limited to general driver repair requests, warranty repair requests, on-board vehicle electronics, etc Previous experience with general welding skills in non-standard situations and on varying materials Basic computer skills as it applies to diagnostic tooling Valid Driver's License required Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Company Overview For over 90 years, Hirschbach Motor Lines has built a sterling reputation for delivering time and temperature sensitive freight.
