Job description
This position is responsible for fast, friendly, and accurate transactions at the point of sale. Responsible for providing positive customer experience to Goodwill customers. Responsible for stocking and maintaining merchandising standards on the sales floor while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Promotes and adheres to Goodwill Central Texas mission and values.
Customer Service Creates a high level of customer service throughout the store ensuring all customers experience a welcoming atmosphere. Communicates current and upcoming sales promotions and events Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers while meeting customer’s needs in a timely manner; ensures customer concerns and complaints are handled to the customer’s satisfaction Projects a favorable image of Goodwill Central Texas at all times Maintains a favorable working relationship with other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and inclusive working climate Store Operations Follows policies and procedures and executes directives in a timely manner.
Processes all forms of payments, refunds, and promotional discounts according to procedure Maintain workstation in a clean and organized manner May be asked to assist in the training process for new customer service associates and other staff cross-trained to use the point of sale system Responsible for executing merchandising standards Follows pricing and price check guidelines Responsible for executing salvaging standards Safety & Risk Follows and adheres to safety and risk procedures and initiatives.
Uses and maintains personal protective equipment Participates in weekly safety huddles, monthly safety meetings and drills Works to reduce worker’s compensation incidents and customer accidents Uses proper lifting techniques Uses power equipment responsibly and with appropriate certification Identifies recall products and properly removes them from processing Services & Programs Provides a work environment to train and develop participants in achieving their goals.
