Overview

Provides services in coordination with ordering departments and other resources to ensure correct order placement. Reviews requisitions and awards purchase orders according to policies. Obtains quotes and prepares cost analysis as required/and or requested. Monitors Backorder and Open Purchase Order Reports to ensure smooth transition from order placement to order arrival and PO completion.

Monitors services provided by vendors to ensure supplies are available for patient care.

Qualifications

High School graduate. Two years in a Medical/Surgical supply setting, or purchasing environment. Knowledge of purchasing negotiations, bid process, and cost analysis. High School graduate.
