Supporting Meaningful Work Use 3D engineering CAD models to create technical illustrations for product assembly directions, disassembly directions, separability content, product labels, and post product sale service parts catalogs.
Creating and maintaining product labels, including Product ID, Safety, UL, and other regulatory or customer-facing labels Managing and governing the Label Library within Windchill to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance Researching federal, state, and industry regulatory requirements and translating findings into label content and updates Driving prioritization of multiple projects and deadlines while navigating large volumes of revisions and extended implementation lead times Collaborating with Legal, Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Customer teams to balance business needs with compliance requirements Maintain graphics master data within the Windchill & product symbol library application throughout the product life cycle Work across global and regional teams, using appropriate agile methodologies, and other practices, to ensure project timeliness, consistency, and quality standards are achieved Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Communication, Information Management, or equivalent practical or relevant work experience 3+ years of experience managing technical, regulatory, product data, documentation, labeling, or compliance-related content Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator Strong capability for interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, methods and terminology Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, listening, and customer service skills Capability to work both collaboratively and independently, while remaining accountable and delivering projects on time Ability to manage multiple job requests involving many different types of products, sometimes daily and often over the span of several months.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD software Familiarity with Agile terms (backlog, burndown chart, estimation, blockers) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) Desired Skills and Experience Experience creating or supporting Assembly Directions or other technical documentation in Windchill or similar applications Advanced research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret changing regulatory requirements Experience balancing legal, regulatory, and customer requirements in a business environment Technical aptitude, including experience creating macros or automating repetitive processes Experience working with large volumes of product data, revisions, and controlled documentation Driving cost efficiency by maximizing reuse of existing labels and minimizing the size of new labels through streamlined content and optimized layout design Doing better for people and planet Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
