The Bellefonte Area School District is accepting applications for the Substitute Teacher position Location: Bellefonte Area School District Type: Substitute Position Overview The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instructional support and classroom leadership across grade levels and subject areas.

This role is essential to maintaining continuity of learning and fostering a positive educational environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, adaptability to diverse student needs, and a commitment to delivering engaging, standards-based instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with the provided lesson plan and district policy Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the lesson plans as provided Instruct students in a variety of classroom courses/topics Motivate students to learn and encourage classroom participation Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to productive learning and developmentally appropriate Adapt to various learning styles of students For long-term assignments, you may be expected to develop lesson plans and administer/grade assessments Education Requirements Minimum: Bachelor's degree in any area is required.

A degree in education is NOT required.
