Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities Assess patients' physical, cognitive, psychological, and functional abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence and quality of life. Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance activities of daily living (ADLs), work skills, and community participation.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required. Apply evidence-based practice and clinical expertise in patient care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
Education
& Professional Development Maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements and professional licensure. Participate in peer reviews, clinical education, and mentoring activities. Support competency development of junior staff and students when required. Stay up to date with current research and best practices in Occupational Therapy.
Patient Care & Rehabilitation Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient rehabilitation goals. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies, adaptive techniques, and equipment use. Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and environmental modifications.
Support discharge planning and community reintegration. Quality & Compliance Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and risk management activities. Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution. Eligible for or holding a valid NHRA license or Data flow to practice as an Occupational Therapist Minimum 6 –8 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist. Experience with neurological rehabilitation, geriatrics, complex medical cases, or long-term care is highly desirable.
