Description Avelo Airlines launched on April 28, 2021, as the first new U.S. airline in nearly 15 years. Founded and led by airline veteran Andrew Levy and a team of experienced airline executives, Avelo was built around a simple mission: to inspire travel. If you want to help shape a growing airline, we'd like to hear from you. Purpose: The FP&A Analyst will support Avelo's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This is a high-visibility role: you'll work directly with the CEO and CFO and help prepare materials for the Board of Directors. Your analysis will feed straight into the decisions that shape where the airline goes next.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Excel-based financial models Support the annual budget, short-term forecasts, and the 5-year financial plan, including revenue, expense, and cash flow projections Develop and track KPIs that measure business performance Analyze budget and forecast variances and share recommendations with senior management Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Help prepare financial analysis and presentation materials for the Board of Directors Meet regularly with the CEO and CFO to walk through results, answer questions, and support key business decisions Partner with department leaders on budgets, strategic initiatives, and long-term planning Complete ad-hoc analysis and business cases for special projects Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and building large models from scratch Solid understanding of accounting and financial planning principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail Ability to work independently and dig into complex data Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders and explaining financial results to non-finance audiences Collaborative approach that fits Avelo's One Crew culture Comfortable with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
