Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in Brighton, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students in a structured educational setting. You’ll help create a safe, supportive classroom environment while partnering with school teams to support student growth and success.

Why Join Us Competitive pay (Up to $65+/hour) + steady school-year schedule Full-time Tuesday–Friday schedule (4 days/week) Supportive, local district partnership W-2 employment with liability insurance included Healthcare benefits* + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure and professional development + referral bonuses What You’ll Do Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student behavioral, emotional, and academic needs Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support in an Affective Needs setting Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and learning Implement behavior supports and collaborate on intervention strategies Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, school psychologists, social workers, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction and supports accordingly Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation Support students in building coping, self-regulation, communication, and social-emotional skills What We’re Looking For Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or signifigant needs preferred Strong classroom management, de-escalation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills School-based experience preferred, but not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
