This is a PRN or temporary assignment-based role, not a permanent position. The assistant ensures smooth and efficient dental procedures, maintains a sterile and organized environment, and delivers a high standard of patient care. This role requires a licensed professional who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in specialty dental care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Endodontist during endodontic procedures by preparing and organizing dental instruments and materials.
• Perform standard Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) responsibilities, including taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays), sterilizing instruments, and maintaining dental equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations by maintaining an active Registered Dental Assistant license, CPR/BLS certification, and completing required continuing education (CE) hours.
• Utilize CBCT software and technology for diagnostic imaging under the guidance of the Endodontist.
• Assist with the administration of nitrous oxide (N2O) as per state-specific certification requirements.
• Provide patient education and post-operative care instructions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Utilize previous experience with endodontic microscopes to support advanced endodontic procedures, if applicable.Qualifications: Required Education:
• Registered Dental Assistant license required by State
• CPR/BLS active and renewal
• Maintain RDA license renewal
• Maintain state required CE Hours - 1 Year experience with an Endodontist
• Familiarity with CBCT software and technology
• Possession of Nitrous (N2O) state-specific certificate Required Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in standard RDA responsibilities
• Ability to support an Endodontist effectively Preferred Skills and Abilities:
• Previous Endodontic Microscope experience
