Operations Geologist

The Operations Geologist is a member of the HKN Energy Subsurface Team responsible for real-time well placement and geosteering of horizontal and deviated wells, translating the geological model and approved Well Program into precise, timely wellbore-placement decisions during drilling. The role covers geological input to well planning and well design, real-time well correlation and borehole-image interpretation, and geosteering guidance to the rig site and Drilling team, ensuring wells are landed and steered accurately within the target reservoir zone.

Reports to the Subsurface Manager and works closely with Wellsite Geologists, office Geoscientists, Drilling Engineers, Drilling Supervisors and geosteering/LWD service providers.
