The opportunity We are looking for an engaging and motivated Intermediate Auditor to join our growing Wellington audit practice. As part of our 12-person audit team, you will gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of profit and not-for-profit organisations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys audit, builds rapport easily with clients and colleagues, and is keen to sharpen their technical capability while building a long-term career in public practice.

What you will be doing

• Plan and complete audit assignments for a diverse range of for-profit and not-for-profit clients.
• Get to know each client’s organisation, systems and financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare clear, well-supported audit documentation and help deliver consistently high-quality engagements.
• Build trusted client relationships and communicate clearly and professionally from planning through to completion.
• Collaborate closely with managers, partners and other members of the audit team.
• Keep building your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and professional judgement.

About you

• You are qualified, or close to qualifying, as a Chartered Accountant.
• You ideally bring audit experience from a chartered accounting firm or public practice environment.
• You are personable, confident and comfortable connecting with a wide range of people.
• You are enthusiastic about audit and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
• You are organised, proactive and equally effective working independently or as part of a team.
