Atlas Advisors is recruiting a Journeyman Current Operations (CUOPS) Watchstander to support SETAF-AF G2 operations within the Current Operations and Integration Center in Vicenza, Italy. The CUOPS Watchstander will monitor, analyze, integrate, and disseminate current intelligence; maintain the threat Common Intelligence Picture; brief current intelligence updates; manage G2 taskings; and provide emergency notification of time-sensitive information.

The position supports SETAF-AF decision-making by identifying significant threat activity, assisting with operational orders and plans, and ensuring critical intelligence reaches the appropriate leaders and staff sections. The position supports a 24x7x365 operation and requires availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Brief current intelligence updates during the daily SETAF-AF Current Operations and Integration Center Stand-Up and other briefings as required. Analyze, review, and integrate intelligence information from multiple classified and unclassified sources. Monitor ongoing threat activity, emerging events, adversary locations, and other developments affecting the SETAF-AF Area of Responsibility.

Monitor and retrieve initial and finished intelligence reporting through First Alert/Data Miner, email, source websites, intelligence databases, and other authorized reporting channels. Compile and distribute a tailored daily theater intelligence product addressing SETAF-AF Priority Intelligence Requirements. Produce and disseminate intelligence products at the required classification level, including products up to SECRET//NOFORN.

Assist SETAF-AF G2 with the production and dissemination of operations orders, operations plans, fragmentary orders, warning orders, staff estimates, and related operational products. Provide intelligence recommendations and synchronize relevant information with SETAF-AF G33 and other SETAF-AF directorates. Prepare analytical reports, operational intelligence summaries, threat updates, briefings, and other decision-support products.

Provide complex data analysis and intelligence support for current operations, emerging threats, and time-sensitive events. Manage SETAF-AF G2 taskings in the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution and monitor completion status to promote accountability and timely response. Assist with the creation and maintenance of the threat Common Intelligence Picture using PowerPoint, Command Post Computing Environment, Maven Smart System, Army Intelligence Data Platform, Primary OA&I Entry Tool, or other designated systems.

Triage information concerning the SETAF-AF Area of Responsibility and identify events that meet Commander’s Critical Information Requirements criteria. Receive, review, and disseminate threat messages to the appropriate staff sections and decision-makers. Deliver emergency notifications for incoming time-sensitive intelligence and significant events.

Operate intelligence systems, intelligence-analysis systems, command-and-control systems, and classified collaboration platforms. Maintain accurate watch logs, event trackers, tasking records, briefing materials, and continuity files. Conduct detailed shift turnovers to ensure continuity of operations and awareness of unresolved actions, significant events, and emerging threats.

Coordinate with supported units, higher headquarters, staff sections, intelligence organizations, and joint, interagency, allied, coalition, and multinational mission partners as required. Position Specific Qualifications Relevant experience supporting current intelligence, current operations, watch-floor operations, intelligence analysis, operations-center activities, command-post operations, or a comparable military mission.

Experience analyzing and integrating intelligence from multiple sources. Experience monitoring emerging events, threat activity, adversary locations, or time-sensitive reporting. Experience preparing current intelligence briefings, analytical reports, intelligence summaries, threat updates, or other decision-support products.

Experience identifying significant information and communicating it rapidly and accurately to operational leaders and staff sections. Experience supporting military operations orders, plans, fragmentary orders, warning orders, staff estimates, or command taskings. Experience maintaining a Common Intelligence Picture, Common Operational Picture, intelligence database, event tracker, or comparable operational information system.

Experience coordinating intelligence or operational information across multiple staff sections, units, headquarters, or mission partners. Ability to assess incoming information against Priority Intelligence Requirements, Commander’s Critical Information Requirements, or other command information requirements. Ability to manage multiple concurrent requirements in a classified, time-sensitive operational environment.

Ability to communicate complex intelligence clearly through written products and oral briefings. General Qualifications Requirements vary by labor category and position level. Candidates must possess: U.S. citizenship. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Relevant education and experience meeting the Journeyman labor-category requirements.

The ability to work full-time and on-site in Vicenza, Italy. The ability to obtain and maintain applicable Status of Forces Agreement, Technical Representative, or other required overseas work authorization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.

The ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, exercises, and outside normal duty hours in support of a 24x7x365 operation.

Education and Experience

Requirements Candidates must meet one of the following combinations: Bachelor’s degree and 3–10 years of relevant experience in current operations, military operations, command-post operations, operations-center support, watch-floor operations, or a closely related field. Associate’s degree and 5–12 years of total relevant experience, including directly applicable operational experience.

No degree and 7–16 years of total relevant experience, including directly applicable operational experience. Candidates should clearly identify their highest completed degree, degree-award date, and dates and duties for each directly relevant assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a CUOPS Watchstander, Intelligence Watch Analyst, JOC Watch Officer, Current Intelligence Analyst, Battle Captain, Battle NCO, Operations Officer, Operations NCO, Command Post Watch Officer, or comparable position. Experience supporting SETAF-AF, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, U.S. European Command, U.

S. Africa Command, an Army Service Component Command, Joint Task Force, corps, division, brigade, or equivalent headquarters. Experience supporting a Current Operations and Integration Center, Joint Operations Center, Tactical Operations Center, intelligence watch floor, command post, or comparable 24-hour operations center.

Experience briefing current intelligence to senior military and civilian leaders. Experience using First Alert/Data Miner, ETMS2, CPCE, Maven Smart System, AIDP, POET, or comparable intelligence, task-management, command-and-control, or common-intelligence-picture systems. Experience developing or supporting daily theater intelligence products tied to Priority Intelligence Requirements.

Experience applying Commander’s Critical Information Requirements criteria to emerging events and time-sensitive reporting. Experience receiving, assessing, and disseminating threat messages or emergency notifications. Experience developing, reviewing, disseminating, or tracking OPORDs, OPLANs, WARNORDs, FRAGORDs, staff estimates, requests for information, and command taskings.

Experience supporting crisis-action activities, contingency operations, exercises, or continuous operations. Experience working in joint, interagency, allied, coalition, NATO, or multinational environments. Knowledge of Army and joint operational processes, intelligence support to operations, staff coordination, and battle-rhythm management.

Overseas Assignment Positions are located at supported OCONUS intelligence mission locations. Work is performed full-time and on-site in classified, operational, secure-facility, construction-site, or military environments, depending on the position. Depending on the position, contract authorization, and individual eligibility, overseas support may include: Relocation assistance Household goods shipment Privately owned vehicle shipment Temporary quarters support Housing allowance Post allowance or cost-of-living allowance Education allowance for eligible dependents Authorized logistical privileges Family-accompanied assignment where permitted Specific overseas entitlements, travel requirements, work schedules, and family-accompaniment conditions will be confirmed for each opening.
