About The Role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you won't wait for a fully-specified ticket. You'll partner directly with customers, product managers, designers, and your own judgment to find the problem worth solving, and then design, build, and ship the distributed, highly scalable SaaS solution that solves it, across our cloud environment using Python, React, SQL/NoSQL, Kubernetes, and distributed systems in a continuous delivery framework.

We fully embrace AI-accelerated engineering, embedding AI coding tools and autonomous agents directly into our SDLC so that more of your time goes to understanding customers, the business, and whether what we're building actually matters. We value adaptable generalists with strong computer science fundamentals and strong product instincts; engineers who own outcomes end-to-end, from the first conversation about a customer's problem, through architecture and code, to what happens in production and whether it moved the target metric.

What We're Looking For

Product Sense & Business Awareness: You instinctively ask "Why does this matter?" before "How do I build this?" You connect features to customer outcomes and business impact, retention, risk reduction, and time-to-value, and you push back respectfully when a request solves the wrong problem. End-to-End Ownership, From Problem to Production: Your ownership doesn't start at the ticket and end at the merge.

You help shape what gets built, build it, ship it, and watch what happens afterward. Then you act on what you learn. Customer & User Empathy: You talk directly to CSMs, and Support, use the product yourself, and treat the friction you find as your problem to fix, not someone else's issue. AI-First & Anti-Slop Discipline: You aggressively embrace AI coding tools and autonomous agents to maximize velocity, while serving as an uncompromising gatekeeper against unverified, bloated, or low-quality code.

Technical Rigor: You ground rapid, AI-assisted, product-driven development in computer science fundamentals, structural discipline, and strict quality standards. Moving fast on the wrong architecture is still moving in the wrong direction. Curiosity, Growth, and Impact: You're a curious, self-motivated learner who continuously seeks improvement, connecting your technical execution directly to building products customers love and solving real-world problems.

High-Trust Collaboration & Mentorship: You communicate clearly in English, actively engage in peer and design reviews, openly share AI workflows and product learnings, and help less-senior engineers build the same judgment. Technical and Domain Expertise: Distributed Systems & Core Stack: Proven track record building high-throughput, customer-facing SaaS applications.

Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, React, and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes). AI-Accelerated SDLC: Experience leveraging modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and agents to accelerate coding, debugging, and workflow automation without compromising architectural integrity or maintainability.

Product Discovery & Judgment: Experience partnering with product managers, designers, and customers to scope ambiguous problems, define what "done" means, ship in incremental slices, and instrument features to measure whether they worked, not just whether they shipped. Production Quality & Continuous Delivery: Strong understanding of CS fundamentals (data structures, system design) paired with experience in experimentation/rollout strategies, and testing frameworks to guarantee reliability at scale.

Seniority in Practice: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including owning a product surface or feature area end-to-end, mentoring other engineers, and leading technical and product discussions with confidence and humility. [Bonus] Domain Knowledge: Background in cybersecurity, third-party risk management, or exposure management.

Additional Information for European Union Applicants: Bitsight is committed to full pay transparency in accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive. The compensation elements outlined below represent a good faith estimate effective as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. The total rewards package for this position includes: 45,000.

00 - 67,000.00 EUR Annual Bonus
