Welder I (MIG)

• Temp To Hire Location: Riverside, CA Pay Rate: $20.00-24.00/hr. Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Welder (Welder I) to join our weld team. This role provides hands-on experience with basic welding operations and exposure to a structured training environment. The position is ideal for individuals beginning their welding career and seeking to develop foundational skills under the guidance of experienced welders and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

Perform basic welds on pre-assembled jigs following standard Work Instructions (WIs) Assist Welders in grinding structures free of sharp edges and weld protrusions Execute coating processes as required Safely operate hand and power tools Maintain a clean and organized work area Participate in safety and quality training programs Qualifications 1-3 years of welding experience.

Completion of basic welding school or vocational training. Must pass internal weld test for basic joints. No welding certifications required initially. Physical Demands: Frequent use of hands and fingers for welding, grinding, and assembly tasks Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 40 lbs; occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods during a shift Hand-eye coordination required for precise welding and fitting operations Good visual acuity, including color perception and depth perception, necessary for inspecting welds and reading drawings Ability to hear alarms, signals, and communicate effectively in a noisy environment Environmental Conditions: Temperature: Exposure to hot and cold temperatures depending on production area and seasonal conditions Noise: Work performed in moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection may be required Fumes and Particulates: Exposure to welding fumes, dust, and airborne particles; proper respiratory protection and ventilation required Lighting: Work performed in well-lit areas, with occasional need for supplemental task lighting Work Surface: Walking and working on uneven, metal, or grating surfaces; climbing ladders or working at elevated positions may be required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Use of welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and other PPE as required by safety standards Safety Hazards: Exposure to sparks, molten metal, and moving machinery; strict adherence to safety procedures required Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package: Medical (including FSA & HSA), dental, vision, life and disability insurance, EAP, mental health, and wellness programs 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and twelve (12) paid holidays Employee referral program Career growth and development opportunities Career Growth at ENC We believe great careers and leaders are built from within.
