After-School Program Teacher (Live Oak Campus)

Position: After-School Program Teachers (Live Oak Campus) Location: Great Hearts Live Oak (7653 N Loop 1604 E, Live Oak, TX 78233) Reports To: Campus Coordinator FLSA Status: Part-Time; Hourly Position Description: Part-time afternoon position supporting elementary and middle school students in homework, enrichment, and fun.

Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade-level class and conduct a daily activity following a provided lesson plan. Lessons and activities include reading, athletics, logic games, art, music, etc. Company description : Great Hearts Academies is a non-profit network of charter schools dedicated to improving education by developing excelling public schools.

Qualifications

Some college (preferably with education or liberal arts major), experience with children, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead and teach children.

Requirements

Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by their start date. Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.

US Work Authorization is required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements. Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities. This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
