Project Delivery & Technical Manager (Sydney, Australia)

Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaFull-timePosted Oct 9, 2026

Job description

The move into full project delivery Citygreen's installation business is winning large projects across Sydney and NSW, and we need someone to run them. This is full project delivery from day one. You'll take installed projects from contract award to handover, run the subcontractors, hold the programme and protect the margin.

You'll also sit at the design table with landscape architects, engineers and councils, so you shape projects before they're drawn rather than just building what you're handed. A$115,000 to A$135,000 base plus superannuation, plus participation in Growth by Sharing. If you've built your career in landscape architecture or landscape construction, and spent enough time on site to know what goes wrong below ground, this is the step from supervising projects to owning them.

About Citygreen Citygreen designs and supplies engineered systems that let trees and stormwater infrastructure thrive in hard urban spaces: Strata. Vault, Strata. Cell, Invisi. Grate, Dura. Grate and Urban Grove. Our systems are specified by landscape architects, engineers and councils across Australia and North America.

We don't just supply. We install, and our installation business is growing faster than our delivery team. No competitor offers what we do. That's why this role exists.

What you'll do

Project delivery Plan and run delivery of installed projects from contract award to handover Engage, brief and supervise installation subcontractors on our piece-rate model, and help build out our Sydney subcontractor panel Own programme, scope and variations. Identify and price variations before the work proceeds, not after Protect project gross margin against the costed estimate Manage site safety obligations with subcontractors and the principal contractor Run project close-out and lessons learned, and feed what you learn back into estimating Construction review and quality Review installations against approved drawings: levels, dimensions, soil volumes, compaction, layering and connections Own Build.

Pass review for your projects. Approve or reject evidence, raise non-conformances, and verify that corrective action holds Keep the photographic and inspection record complete enough to defend a warranty claim Design team and client consultancy Sit in design team meetings as Citygreen's technical voice, and help solve tree pit, soil volume and stormwater problems before they're drawn Present to councils, including urban forestry, public works and stormwater teams, at design review and approval stage Lead the technical side of specifier and client meetings alongside our sales team Deliver CPD and Lunch and Learn presentations to design firms and councils Pre-construction and coordination Run pre-installation meetings covering sequencing, materials, tolerances and inspection points Brief contractors who are new to Citygreen systems Check drawing packages are buildable before they reach site, and send them back to our Design Studio when they aren't Coordinate with landscape architects, civil and stormwater engineers, utilities, councils, Sydney Water and Transport for NSW, so conflicts are found on paper rather than in the trench Requirements What you'll bring 5+ years in the landscape industry, with training in landscape architecture, landscape technology or landscape construction.

Civil construction backgrounds are also considered Hands-on site supervision of landscape installation, as a site supervisor, construction manager or contractor-side project manager. A landscape architect with substantial construction administration and site experience is equally welcome A track record of directing landscape or civil crews and holding them to scope and quality Accountability for programme, variations or margin on at least one real project Practical knowledge of excavation, compaction, drainage and soil profiles, and how pavement, utilities and tree soil interact below ground.

We'll test this at interview Confidence reading and marking up landscape and civil plan sets: levels, sections, soil and drainage details, utilities and pavement build-ups Credibility at the design table. You can hold your own with landscape architects, engineers and council staff, and present with confidence Clear written communication.

Credible with designers, firm with contractors A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly within NSW Nice to have AILA membership or registration Experience with soil cells, structural soil or similar systems (Strata. Vault, Silva Cell or equivalent) Urban tree planting and establishment: tree pits, structural soils, irrigation Construction QA platforms such as Build.

Pass or Procore AutoCAD or Civil 3D viewing and markup Knowledge of NSW council works, Sydney Water and road authority requirements An existing Sydney landscape subcontractor network Hub. Spot or Net. Suite experience How we work We hire for three things as much as for experience. Hungry. You see the next problem on a project and go after it without being asked.

Humble. You give credit to the installers and the design team, take a drawing correction without defensiveness, and say early when something is going wrong. Smart with people. You speak the specifier's language at design stage and the installer's language on site. You can tell a contractor their work isn't acceptable and keep the relationship.
