Line Cook

Line Cook Warwick Melrose Dallas Position Purpose The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food for the hotel’s restaurant, banquet, and Food & Beverage operations. This position ensures food is prepared consistently, safely, and according to established recipes, presentation standards, and sanitation requirements.

Essential Functions

Prepare, cook, and plate food according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Set up and maintain assigned cooking stations for daily service. Support restaurant, banquet, and special event food production. Follow recipes, prep lists, production sheets, and instructions from culinary leadership. Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, labeling, dating, and rotation.

Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation. Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed. Work collaboratively with the culinary, stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams. Perform additional duties as assigned based on hotel operations.

Qualifications

Previous culinary, restaurant, banquet, or hotel kitchen experience is preferred. Candidates should have basic cooking and knife skills, the ability to follow recipes and instructions, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Food Handler certification may be required. Schedule & Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling associated with kitchen operations.

Must be comfortable working around heat, cooking equipment, and varying temperatures. Flexible availability is required, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays .
