Technical Support Assistant

Position Summary The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, non-unit position with no benefits. Shift hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM through 12:30 PM. As a member of the End User Services team, this individual provides technical hardware/software support for client computers and other technologies within Mass. Bay. This individual provides courteous, timely, and effective assistance to students, faculty and staff, including classroom, lab, and event support.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and resolve IT help desk ticket requests and incidents; Support computers and peripheral equipment using a variety of operating systems and applications; Maintain and install all software applications related to Mass. Bay computing; Support College-wide and multi-campus audiovisual services in classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditorium; Provide routine computer, printer, and peripherals maintenance; Provide computer software and hardware orientation for students; Make necessary arrangements for outside repair as needed; Provide back up coverage for the College Copy Center; Perform other duties as assigned.
