Senior Account Clerk

The Half Hollow Hills School District is seeking qualified candidates to fill two immediate, full-time vacancies in the Business Office under the Civil Service title of Senior Account Clerk . Ideal candidates will have experience with general business office functions, including purchasing, invoicing, accounts payable, and bill processing, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Successful candidates must be self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality. The positions each come with a salary of $51,372 as well as a generous benefits package, including: Additional $2,000 stipend for having earned a Bachelor's degree or a $1,000 stipend for having earned an Associate's degree (added to base salary) NYS Pension Off during recess periods (February break, April break and December/January break) in addition to other "duty free" days throughout the year Abbreviated work hours during the summer 10 vacation days after first year of service, 6 sick days, 3 personal days ability to carry-forward unused paid time off from one year to the next 85% of healthcare cost paid by employer healthcare waiver payment yearly optical reimbursement district-paid life insurance As there are currently no candidates from the Civil Service list for the Senior Account Clerk title, this is a provisional position which means when Suffolk County Civil Service offers the Senior Account Clerk exam, the employee must take the examination, pass it and be reachable for appointment from the resultant eligible list in order to be retained.
