Qma-Qualified Medical Aide

As a QMA, you’ll administer medications to residents according to state regulations and community policies, while also providing support, monitoring, and communication to ensure residents’ needs are met. You will play a key role in helping residents maintain independence and quality of life. QMA Duties and Responsibilities: · Prepares and administers safely and documents regularly prescribed oral, eye, nasal, and ear medications to residents. Prepares and administers topical medications to intact skin. · Administers as allowed, PRN drugs when authorized by a licensed nurse. · Uses the Physician’s Desk Reference or other appropriate drug reference if ever unsure or unclear as to drug being administered. · Checks physician’s orders against medication forms. ·
