Deputy Register of Wills

The Deputy Register of Wills is responsible for assisting the County Register of Wills, direct the daily functions of the office, maintain records relating to the probate of wills, and grant letters of administration and testamentary.  This position will serve as an agent for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to collect inheritance tax payments.

The Deputy Register of Wills will also assist in directing the duties of the Clerk of Orphans Court, which will include filing petitions for incapacitated persons, petitions for the appointment of guardians for minors, petitions for adoption records, granting marriage licenses, and records of births and deaths.  A criminal background check is...
