Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Samaritan Medical Center Department: 01.7291 SMC EKG Pay Range: $38.76 - $63.96 Care for our community, and your career. Two years experience in echocardiography preferred, or 1 year with completion of formal training program. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment, as it relates to cardiology.

Ability to recognize cardiac wave patterns (EKG's) and detect abnormalities. RDCS or RCS required or obtained within 3 months of hire. Current BLS certification. Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed. Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team, recognizing the special nature of cardiac ultrasound examinations and patient's needs.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team. Must be able to perform testing on neonate, pediatric and adults.
