Position Title: Database Administrator Category: IT Operations & Systems Seniority: Senior Location: LATAM What you will be doing: Works in conjunction with the internal and external support teams and shares responsibility for the monitoring, support, installation, configuration, database management, and operation of Oracle database platforms for the client.
Works as part of the Technology Services Team to maintain all Oracle database related assets, applications, and services across both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments. 2 Required Skills & Experience ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. ● Industry certifications will be considered along with experience for non-degreed candidates.
● Strong working knowledge of Oracle Database administration and architecture. ● 5 – 7 years of Oracle Database Administration experience. ● Experience with Oracle query tuning and SQL performance optimization. ● Experience designing and maintaining Oracle indexing strategies. ● Strong understanding of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle ASM, and clustered environments.
● Experience with Oracle query tuning and performance optimization. ● Experience analyzing SQL execution plans and identifying performance bottlenecks. ● Experience designing and maintaining effective indexing strategies. ● Understanding of Oracle Flashback technologies and recovery methodologies. ● Understanding of Oracle Data Guard and disaster recovery replication architectures.
● Strong understanding of Oracle backup and recovery strategies utilizing RMAN. ● Experience supporting mission-critical Oracle database environments. ● Experience with database monitoring and performance management tools. ● Knowledge of database security, encryption, auditing, and access controls ● Open to on-call weekend rotation once every 3 weeks.
Soft Skills ● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. ● Ability to work independently and within a team environment. ● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. ● Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate, diagram and document complex engineering concepts.
