Job Summary

The Psychiatry Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Neurotherapeutics program. The Registered Nurse will report directly to the Senior Practice Manager and work closely with our physicians. Primary responsibilities involve IV placements and patient monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

Establishing IV access. Administration of Ketamine and IV fluids via peripherally inserted catheters, establishing, assessing, drawing and flushing lines. Enter labs, monitor vital signs and entry. Monitoring and logging inventory. EKG administration. Peripheral blood draws. Ensuring availability of necessary supplies.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or requested. Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. NYS RN License required. BLS certification required. ACLS/PALS certification preferred. Ability to perform sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing for long periods of time.

Exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue. Perform/assist in emergency care and/or first aid as needed.
