Communications Intern Public Information Office $15.00/Hour GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB DESCRIPTION Assist Caldwell County’s public information team with fulfilling its communications plan, which could include video production, website maintenance, news release development, social media engagement, event planning, and graphic design.

SPECFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assists with shooting and editing video content Helps create social media content Writes news releases and radio scripts Makes updates to the website May design original social media posts May assist with event planning Functions as part of the public information team ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF JOB EDUCATION Undergraduate student studying social media marketing, public relations, communications, marketing, or similar field. EXPERIENCE Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management and problem-solving skills Ability to work as part of a team Responsibility to complete projects by a pre-determined deadline Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to communicate effectively and accurately in oral and written language Accurate and detail oriented.
