Project Manager

This position provides oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management functions for large strategic and complex projects supporting Department of Information, Technology, and Budget (DTMB-MB) with high visibility at the Agency Executive level. These projects typically have a large diverse set of stakeholders, utilize vendor participation, require coordination of multiple stakeholders, complex schedules, and significant integration with other systems.

Advanced experience managing complex projects, a significant degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements

6 years: Professional experience as a project manager for IT software or infrastructure projects involving 50 or more team members. Advanced experience managing Agile projects Advanced experience managing scope, schedule, and project budget Advanced experience with vendor management Experience writing or participating in development of Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Proposal (RFP) or contracts Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal Desired Skills Possession of a PMP Certification Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Location Local candidates ONLY.

Candidates must me located within 90 miles of Lansing, MI at time of submission. Position is a hybrid schedule with NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Working hours Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional Requirements Must be authorized to work in the United States; We are unable to offer sponsorships at this time Must undergo a background check and drug screening for employment.

Employment Terms This is a W2 position 40 hrs per week HYBRID schedule
