Maintenance HVAC Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The HVAC Technician maintains, repairs, and installs heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems; maintains electrical systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain and repair boilers, compressors, pumps, air handling equipment, fans, blowers, and associated control systems including lubrication, housekeeping, and repair. Repair and maintain split system heat pumps and air conditioning. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems that arise in the HVAC equipment. Maintain and repair water coolers and ice machines; repair and maintain coolers and freezer refrigerant systems.

Maintain campus filter replacement and cleaning system. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of computers to maintain HVAC systems Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. May require walking or standing for long periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Possess a valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent desired. At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a maintenance or construction environment.
